Image Editing for Wedding

I got order to do image editing for wedding too. The thing that we have to face is we have to try our best to make the picture right exactly just like what the clients want, eventhough the sources are not enough.

Here are the samples of image editing that I made for wedding.

I still remember how tight the deadline was and the photographer couldn't find the exact same dog just like the one in the movie poster. The color of the dog is actually dark brown and it was taken without proper lighting so I have to do a lot of editing for this picture.

The picture of the couple taken with white background. I need to do a lot of work to edit the lighting.

The picture of flower was taken separately. The thing is it was hard to find the exact same flowers just like the ones at the movie poster so again I have to do a lot of editing, just to make it a bit similar with the poster.

I usually make this kind of project using Adobe Photoshop.

Flyer, Brochure

There are many types of promotional media that I made together with my friends while I was still working with AINO.

This is the brochure that I made for Sekolah Bogor Raya.

Sekolah Bogor Raya is a leading National Plus School in Bogor.

I made this while I worked as an art teacher and graphic designer.

I usually make this project using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Print Ad

There were many things that I learned at school. Some graphic design school probably only focus on graphics, the process of it, types and how to make it. I'm very happy to know that the school where I study at not only taught us about that. The lecturers also taught us about basic of marketing and advertising. Things which not only expecting for high standard of software abilities but also strong point of being creative on making concept and idea.

Advertising is a real big world. Creative people try to give their best on making something outstanding or out of the box to promote.

I remember one day.. one of my lecturer asked, "What is the different between designer and artist?"

"Artist made artwork for themselves. People could enjoy it or hate it. People could agree or disagree with it. You can not blame that because artist made work based on their emotion and point of view. We're not like that. Designer made project for others. We have to try our best so that our audience will accept our work and agree. The most important thing is so that our message could be delivered."

Making ad is not an easy thing because we have to be succeed on communicating the message. Communicate means when we talk about something, our listener or audience not only see or hear it but also understand about it. Successful ad is if it could communicate to their target perfectly.

Catalogue

We got several order to make catalogue when I was working with my creative team, AINO. Every member should make one design and here are several samples that I made.

Business Card

Nowadays, anyone need business card. The function of it of course to put any basic and important information about someone. Some people still think that as long as there's the name, address and contact number then it'll be enough to call as business card but nowadays, many people (including company) think further by putting special design to make it look more exclusive or professional.

Here are some business card that I made from different background of clients.

This is the business card that I made for one of music teacher in Bogor.

I made it using black and white color to make it look professional and clean.

I also got inspiration based on the color of piano, one of the instrument that he played.

This is the business card that I made for Cory Salon.

It's actually a simple small salon but she has her own royal customers.

I usually make the business card with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.

Merchandise

Some clients also asked me and my team to create merchandise. 

Merchandise is one of the method to promote. Big company usually use this method. The merchandise could be for sale or in our case before, they asked it to give as gift for royal customers or clients.

I usually use Adobe Illustrator to make this project.

Social Issues

Creating project about social issues is always interesting for me, personally.

Sometimes I think what can we do, as a designer, to make the change.

By making something that people could see, by sharing the message behind it,

I hope that I could do more than just having this as a fun project.

I really wished I could take part to make the change one day.

A real project to share positive message to the world.

Racism is always become an issue, no matter what people say that there are no longer any kind like that.

The truth is it is still there, deep inside.

Visible but invisible.

So I choose this issue in my project. I used several pictures that I got from internet.

Mostly are small size so it takes time to edit it and make it become the complete design.

With 3 images that I got from internet, I made many changes just to get the result as I want.

"FEED THE WORLD". Reading fact that every year many people suffer from hunger just hurting me.

I just used 2 images for making this project. The hungry kids photo is very small, it was almost impossible to use it as source for the project.

But nothing is impossible. Give a touch of editing. Put them together based on the idea.

And share the big message that you want to share.

I love to make a simple design, sometimes.

I always imagine it in my head first, what my result will be. Will it be good?

Then start to make it.

Again, I just used 2 images that I got from internet.

Again I had to face small size of picture that took some time for me to edit it

and make it possible to put them all together as one design.

Some of my School Project

I was study as a Visual Communication Design's student.

Many people learned a lot at school. 

What I love the most about study there was the environment and the lecturers' point of view.

They let us to be independent. They taught us a bit about softwares but mostly about concept.

The thing is if we don't try hard enough to learn the software by ourself then we will end up to be unable to use any software properly.

So all of us worked hard. I didn't have my own computer at that time, I was study in different city and I only had one computer at home.

So everything was hard at that time, no computer means I had to rent somewhere.

And we got many homeworks to do, we slept only for 3-4 hours at night.

I will never forget that moment and I finally know why our lecturers became so firm to us.

They actually prepared us to face the real world of being a designer.

These are two samples of magazine layout that I made as one project for school.

The result was actually one complete magazine and I was very happy to know I got a great score for this one \^-^/

The lecturer asked us to make one flier about ourself and I made this one.

Since I was the Visual Communication Design's student,

so I trued to put what I was thinking about design itself.

People said design is about solving the problem.

So I came with this idea : it's about putting one missing part to make the entire thing complete,

even in the most impossible way.

I was making this flyer almost by the end of my year of study at school.

It's a flyer about my hometown, Bogor. 

Bogor is a city which is famous because of its history and as a place to learn about nature.

I took the picture of the objects by myself then edit it as flyer using Adobe Photoshop.

Again, something about my hometown, Bogor. But this time it's brochure.

Yes, we do learned about photography too!

I took this one in my first year of school using digital camera and lighting at the studio.

We had to decide by ourself about which kind of lighting effect that we want and whether it will match the product or not.

And I came with this result.
